Last weekend we traveled to Carlisle for the Ford Car Show. While we were there, we stopped at the Venice Model in Carlisle and Hagerstown. They were both older versions of ours, but it still gave us some decorating ideas. We are building a 004 and the Hagerstown model was a 000.
After seeing both of these models, E agreed with me that we should have hardwood in the Family Room. We currently have carpet. We have sent an updated Floor selection sheet to our SR and are waiting on approval from Corporate for the change. Our flooring selections were to be final at the end of April. Crossing all fingers and toes!
E also found online last night an updated floor plan for the Venice Model. There are a lot of changes; there is now an option to finish the attic with a bedroom and bathroom. Our attic doesn't even have a crawl space. And of course, the new version of the house has a tray ceiling in the master bedroom. The ONE thing I really really wanted and couldn't get :-(.
Hopefully these next 2 weeks go really fast. Our pre-construction meeting is Fri 6/28 and Ground Breaking is suppose to begin 7/1.
Almost there...

One purchase complete & Construction update
E talked to our SR on Saturday. We are currently scheduled to begin construction on 7/1. The community has remained on schedule. Our pre-construction meeting will be scheduled for the last week in June.
I sure hope these four weeks go by fast.
Since there were some Holiday sales on appliances, I decided it was a good time to purchase our refrigerator. I am also planning on having this paid off in a few months and then we can purchase our Washer & Dryer. At least this way, I am not spending all this money on appliances at once.
We purchased the Kenmore Elite 31.0 cu. ft. French Door Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator - Stainless Steel ENERGY STAR® Model #72053 from Sears on Saturday. The fridge was also available with a "Grab-N-Go" door. Nice feature, but I could live without it and keep $300 in my pocket. We have a side by side fridge now and I hate it. It seems like we don't have room for anything. Never thought I would be this excited about a Fridge!!
